Some people come up with some pretty strange ideas.

The Mow Cycle is essentially a heavy-duty recumbent tricycle with a reel mower on the bottom. So far, only one exists. It was created by New Hampshire bicycle-builder Ted Wojcik and his son Cody, a mechanical engineer. Wojcik told us that it was inspired by a request from a client who claimed to have “the world’s greatest talent for blowing up gasoline-powered lawn mowers.”

That would give George some bicycle seat time when the chores get in the way LOL! Looks like a lot of work to me though.

Here is something I found called a Stand-On mower,by Wright Manufacturing.

    Rugged and durable with deck sizes of 32", 36", 42", 48", 52", and 61"
    - Available in 15HP, 17HP, 19HP, 23HP, and 25HP (varies by model)
    - Driven from a standing position so you can shift your weight instantly to handle changing terrain
    - Mows faster than a traditional walk-behind mower with less user fatigue
    - The smaller sizeᅠallows you toᅠfit more mowers on a trailer
    - With no seat, seat belts, or arm rests, you can easily step off for a quick exit or to move debris
    - Outstanding control and handling for trim mowing

I saw one of those at the local fair last year. They're pretty neat. There's a knee pad on the back so you're not exactly standing the whole time. Landscapers have been using them for years, but those ones are a lot bigger than this. This is the first I've seen for homeowners.

Made in USA comfort ride seat for tractor... $299.00
    [IMG]
Parts to make a mount for above mentioned seat... estimated $150.00

Realizing that if you're gonna stand the whole time, you might as well be walking... Priceless.

No thanks - I prefer my rider.
