Generators, which one to buy?

    No it will run 12hr on a 1 tank, about 5 gal, the more load on it the more fuel. I bought it mainly to keep the fridges going in the summer and the furnace in the winter.

    Still, 12 hours on a tank is not bad at all. I think I mentioned before but I wouldn't mind having a generator in case of a power outage but they do rarely happen around here. The only ones we get might be for a brief time period from anywhere between 10 minutes to a couple hours. I don't think we get as severe of weather as you guys do up north.

    I live on the outskirts of the city surrounded by farmers power goes out here about half a dozen times a year, usually not for long though.

    Sounds like it is a wise choice though to have the generator though. We haven't lost power at the new place yet.

    I think it was last year or year before we had a 3 day outage. Thank goodness we had one in the family. Lots of back & forth tho
